Are Elux Bars Illegal in UK? We Reveal All!

Are Elux Bars Illegal?
Are Elux Bars illegal in UK? It’s the question on everyone’s lips right now – and for good reason.

After arriving seemingly out of nowhere, using an attractive combination of great flavours and big flavour counts, Elux Bars have become one of the most popular products within the disposable vape market.

But despite their growing popularity, the massive puff counts they provide have seen Elux Bars come under some intense scrutiny of late. As anyone familiar with vape laws will know, the rules state that the sale of any vape containing over 2ml of e-liquid or 20mg/ml is prohibited. So with some Elux Bars providing literally thousands of puffs, many people are quite rightly suspicious these devices may exceed these limits.

So are Elux Bars illegal in UK? Let’s find out…

Are Elux Bars Illegal in UK?
The answer to this one depends entirely on where you’re getting your vape from and what’s inside the device. If you come across an Elux Bar that provides 3,500 puffs and it contains nicotine, then this product is most certainly illegal.

So why are Elux Bars illegal in this instance? Well, the reason for this is it’s not possible for a device to provide that many puffs if it only contains 2ml of e-liquid. And with the law prohibiting the sale of any vape that exceeds this amount, this means it’s illegal to sell these in the UK.

If you do come across one of these vapes then tread with caution as it’s either fake, the retailer who sold it to you doesn’t care about regulatory standards, or both! In any event, these devices are not to be trusted so be sure to avoid them.

The only situation where an Elux Bar with a massive puff count on the box could be sold legally is when the device contains no nicotine. These are permitted because the legal limitations on the amount of e-liquid allowed only applies to devices containing nicotine.

So are 3500 Elux Bars illegal? Well, not if they contain no nicotine, so if they’re nicotine-free then they’re legal to buy and sell. On the other hand, if they do contain nicotine then the rules are different so the sale of these is prohibited under UK law.

Are Elux Bars Getting Banned in the UK?
So now we’ve cleared up the legality of Elux Bars and established whether they’re illegal or not, the only other question we’re asked a lot is this: are Elux Bars getting banned in the UK?

The answer is no – for now at least. Some campaign groups have called for the government to ban single-use vapes due to their negative environmental impact. However, right now, there are no plans to ban Elux Bars or any other disposables, so you’re free to enjoy them for the foreseeable future.

So that’s pretty much all you need to know about Elux Bars and the rules on their sale. Are Elux Bars illegal in UK? The answer depends on the amount of e-liquid and nicotine in the device. If the device has nicotine and it contains over 2ml of e-liquid then the sale of these is prohibited. However, if the device is nicotine-free then the same rules don’t apply.
