SMOK Novo pods are not one family. They are five. Novo 5 pods fit the Novo 5, Novo 6 and Novo 6 Ultra. Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods are shared across the older Novo devices, and the Novo Pro, Master, GT, GT Box, Eco, Classy and Go accept Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods too. The Novo X, Novo 4 and Novo 4 Mini each take their own pod, and the Novo Axis models use SLR 2.0 pods. The chart below covers 21 Novo devices, checked against SMOK’s own product pages.
AT A GLANCE
✓Novo 6 = Novo 5 pods There is no separate Novo 6 pod. SMOK says the Novo 5 pod series fits the Novo 5, Novo 6 and Novo 6 Ultra.
✓Classic pods travel Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods fit the Novo 2 family and the Novo Pro, Master, GT, GT Box, Eco, Classy and Go.
✓Some need their own SMOK lists Novo X pods for the Novo X only. The Novo 4 and Novo 4 Mini each have an empty pod that takes LP1 coils.
✓Axis is separate The Novo Axis and Axis EZ use NOVO Pod (SLR 2.0). No other Novo pod family is listed for them.
How SMOK Novo pod compatibility works
The number in a Novo device’s name doesn’t tell you which pod it takes. The Novo 6 uses Novo 5 pods, the Novo GT uses Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods, and the Novo 4 doesn’t share a pod with any other Novo. What matters is which pod family the device was built around. Grouping the pods by the devices SMOK lists them for, we count five families:
1.Classic Novo pods: Novo, Novo 2, Novo 2 Clear, Novo 2X, Novo 3 and Novo Pod-Clear pods. SMOK calls this the “Novo series family.” Newer pods made for later devices, such as NOVO Pod M, sit alongside it.
2.Novo 5 pods: the 0.7Ω MTL, 0.6Ω and dual 0.4Ω/0.8Ω pods for the Novo 5, Novo 6 and Novo 6 Ultra.
3.Novo X pods: listed for the Novo X only.
4.Novo 4 and Novo 4 Mini pods: empty pods that take replaceable LP1 coils.
5.NOVO Pod (SLR 2.0): for the Novo Axis and Novo Axis EZ.
One thing to know before you read the chart: none of the SMOK pages we checked says “not compatible.” SMOK lists which devices each pod is for. When a pod isn’t on a device’s list, we don’t recommend it for that device.
The SMOK Novo pod compatibility chart
Each row shows the pods SMOK lists for that device on an official SMOK page: the device’s product page, another Novo page’s compatibility list, SMOK’s pod boxes, or SMOK’s coil and pod compatibility guide.

Not in the chart: the Novo Master Box, because SMOK’s product page for it is no longer online and we couldn’t confirm its pod list from an official source.
Novo 5 and Novo 6 pods: one pod series
Yes, Novo 5 and Novo 6 pods are interchangeable, because they’re the same pods. SMOK doesn’t sell a separate Novo 6 pod. The Novo 6 ships with Novo 5 pods, and its product page says “the expanded NOVO 5 Pod series is compatible with NOVO 6 and novo 5.” The Novo 6 Ultra page adds the Ultra to that list, and SMOK’s boxes for the 0.6Ω and dual 0.4Ω/0.8Ω pods read “NOVO 5 / NOVO 6 / NOVO 6 ULTRA DEVICE COMPATIBLE.”

All three are top-fill pods that SMOK sells as complete pods, with no separate coil listed, so you replace the whole pod. We carry all three in SMOK Novo 5 pods, in 3-packs.
The one detail to know about the dual 0.4Ω/0.8Ω pod: the Novo 6 Ultra has an ohm select setting to switch between the two resistances. SMOK lists the pod as Novo 5 and Novo 6 compatible too, but the Novo 5 spec sheet gives a 0.5Ω to 2.5Ω range and SMOK doesn’t say how the Novo 5 or Novo 6 handle the 0.4Ω setting. If you vape on a Novo 5 or Novo 6, the pods SMOK shows on those devices’ own pages are the 0.7Ω (Novo 5 and Novo 6) and the 0.6Ω (Novo 6).
Classic Novo pods: Novo, Novo 2, Novo 2X and Novo 3
This is the biggest group, and the one with the most overlap. On the Novo 2C page, SMOK lists Novo pods, Novo 2 pods, Novo 2 Clear pods, Novo 2X pods and Novo Pod-Clear together under one line: “These pods are compatible with novo, novo 2, novo 2S, novo 2X, PROPOD and novo 2C.” The Novo Pro, Master, GT, GT Box, Eco, Classy and Go pages each say they take Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods as well.

How to read this group:
Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods go both ways. The Novo 2X page lists Novo and Novo 2 pods, and the Novo 2C page lists the Novo 2X pod as compatible with the Novo 2 and Novo 2S.
Novo 3 pods appear only in SMOK’s compatibility guide, which lists them with the Novo, Novo 2, Novo 2S and Novo 3. SMOK doesn’t name them on the newer devices’ pages.
NOVO Pod M ships with the Novo GT and Novo GT Box, and the Novo Classy lists it. SMOK doesn’t say whether it fits the older Novo, Novo 2 or Novo 2X devices.
Fill style alone doesn’t decide fit. SMOK’s Novo Eco chart lists both side-fill and top-fill pods as compatible, and the Novo 2X page says the 2X moved the filling port “from the bottom of the pod to the top.”
Novo X, Novo 4 and Novo 4 Mini: their own pods
Three Novo devices sit outside the shared families. SMOK lists each one’s pod for that device alone.
Novo X: Novo X pods come as a DC 0.8Ω MTL pod (SMOK recommends 12W to 25W) and a meshed 0.8Ω pod (10W to 15W), each 2mL, plus clear versions of both. SMOK’s compatibility guide lists them for the Novo X kit only.
Novo 4: an empty 2mL pod that takes LP1 coils. Our Novo 4 pods are this empty pod.
Novo 4 Mini: its own empty 2mL pod, also built for LP1 coils. Buy Novo 4 Mini pods for this device.
The coils are shared even though the pods aren’t. SMOK lists LP1 coils for the Novo 4, Novo 4 Mini and Pozz Pro. The LP1 range SMOK shows for the Novo 4 includes a meshed 0.8Ω coil (best at 12W), a DC 0.8Ω MTL coil (12W to 25W) and a meshed 1.2Ω coil (10W to 15W); SMOK’s guide adds a meshed 0.9Ω MTL coil. These are the only Novo pods SMOK sells as empty pods for separate coils; every other Novo pod is sold as a complete pod.
The newest Novo devices: Eco, Classy, Go, Axis and Axis EZ
SMOK’s newer Novo devices brought new pod lines. Here is what SMOK states for each:
Novo Eco: ships with NOVO Pod (SLR), a spring-loaded top-fill pod in meshed 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω. SMOK’s chart for the Eco also lists Novo, Novo Pod-Clear, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods.
Novo Classy: ships with NOVO Pod (CLX) and lists Novo, Novo 2, Novo 2X, Novo Pod-Clear, NOVO Pod M and NOVO Pod (SLR) pods as compatible.
Novo Go: ships with NOVO Pod (SLR) and lists NOVO Pod (CLX) plus Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods.
Novo Axis: uses NOVO Pod (SLR 2.0) in 0.6Ω dual mesh, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω, each 2mL with top fill.
Novo Axis EZ: uses the same SLR 2.0 pods, but SMOK’s pod list for it excludes the 1.0Ω pod from the US edition and the Canadian 2mL edition. The US edition card lists the 0.6Ω dual mesh, 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω pods.
The Axis box also says “NOVO CORE POD Compatible,” and SMOK doesn’t explain that name. SMOK doesn’t say whether SLR 2.0 pods fit any Novo outside the Axis line, or whether the older pods fit the Axis. Treat the Axis models as their own family.
What SMOK's pages don't settle
We built this chart from SMOK’s own pages only, and a few of them disagree or leave gaps. Here’s where, and what we did about it:
Newer pods in older devices. SMOK lists NOVO Pod M, Pod (SLR) and Pod (CLX) only for the newer Novo GT, GT Box, Eco, Classy and Go. It doesn’t say whether they fit the original Novo, Novo 2, 2S, 2X or 2C, so the chart doesn’t list them there.
One SMOK blog post goes further than the product pages. It calls the Novo GT pods “cross-compatible over the entire Novo line.” SMOK’s product pages and compatibility guide don’t support that: the Novo X, Novo 4 and Novo 5 families are listed separately.
Novo 3 and Novo 4 Mini: we couldn’t find a live SMOK product page for either. Their rows come from SMOK’s coil and pod compatibility guide.
The Novo 2X pod is listed as meshed 0.6Ω and 0.9Ω MTL on the Novo 2X page and as 0.8Ω MTL on the Novo 2C and Eco pages. SMOK doesn’t say how these versions relate.
SMOK’s compatibility guide is incomplete. It leaves out the Novo 2X and 2C as hosts for classic pods and doesn’t list Novo 5, Pod M, SLR or CLX pods. Where the guide and a product page differ, we used the product page.
If you’re not sure a pod fits your device, stick with one SMOK lists for it in the chart. If the pod doesn’t click in firmly, don’t force it.
Frequently asked questions
Are SMOK Novo 5 and Novo 6 pods interchangeable?
Yes. There is no separate Novo 6 pod: the Novo 6 ships with Novo 5 pods, and SMOK says the Novo 5 pod series is compatible with the Novo 5, Novo 6 and Novo 6 Ultra. That covers the 0.7Ω MTL, 0.6Ω and dual 0.4Ω/0.8Ω pods, all in SMOK Novo 5 pods. The Novo 6 kit comes with two 0.6Ω pods.
Do Novo 2, Novo 2X and Novo 3 pods fit each other's devices?
Mostly, yes. SMOK lists Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods together for the Novo 2, Novo 2S, Novo 2X and Novo 2C. Novo 3 pods appear only in SMOK’s compatibility guide, alongside the Novo, Novo 2, Novo 2S and Novo 3. Shop Novo 2 pods or Novo 2X pods.
Which pods fit the SMOK Novo GT and Novo GT Box?
SMOK says both take Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods, and both ship with NOVO Pod M in 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω (a 1.0Ω is also available).
Which pods fit the SMOK Novo Pro and Novo Master?
Both take Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X pods, per SMOK. The Novo Pro ships with Novo Pod-Clear pods (Novo Pod Meshed in its Canadian 2mL edition) and the Novo Master with Novo Pod Meshed pods, both sold as SMOK Novo pods. The Novo Pro also sets its power from the pod’s resistance.
Do Novo X pods fit other Novo devices?
SMOK lists Novo X pods for the Novo X only, and no other Novo device lists them, so we don’t recommend them elsewhere. In the same way, the Novo X isn’t listed for Novo, Novo 2 or Novo 5 pods.
Do Novo 4 pods fit the Novo 4 Mini?
SMOK lists a separate empty pod for each: the Novo 4 pod for the Novo 4 and the Novo 4 Mini pod for the Novo 4 Mini. The coils are shared, though: both take SMOK LP1 coils, which also fit the Pozz Pro.
